Obama parking tickets

I can overlook not paying parking tickets on time, but I'm not sure I can support a candidate who parked in a bus stop.

Let's give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Anyone who's ever parked in Cambridge knows that their meter maids are like vultures and will find any reason to ticket you. The city's parking restrictions seem designed to confuse (is it the fourth Wed, and is this the evenly-numbered side??), and I've personally received several tickets due to missing or inadequate signage. As for the number of tickets, only 17 in 4 years as a resident? Unbelievable!

Now, as for paying them just before he announced his candidacy, that's another issue . . . .

This is ridiculous. Did you vote for the coke head we have in office now?

I guess the humor intended in the post was not clear.

That Obama had some unpaid tickets from his law school days is a non-story.

The point about the bus stop was intended to be mock outrage at the notion that he would even think of parking in a bus stop.

He shouldn't have. I shouldn't. You shouldn't.

But, even I don't think it's reason to vote or not vote for him.

It's called character. If you break the law, pay the ticket. Why did he pay the tickets a few days before becoming a presidential candidate? How many years later?
