As pointed out earlier, Andy von Geurard's accident doesn't make sense. Among comments on that previous post, Andy's sister wonders if there could have been a brake failure on Andy's bike. I checked the police accident report. Although the car was checked, apparently the bike wasn't. It's probably worth taking a look.

I should have been more assertive: why are cars checked in an accident but bikes aren't? Same roads, same rules they aren't. But I think we are on the threshold of raised awareness: police will be looking at bike mechanical function in future accident reports.
There should also be toxicology tests performed to see if the biker was perhaps under the influence of something. Same road, same rules...
