Comm. Ave. bike lanes

Got my first look at the new bike lanes on Comm. Ave., between Kenmore Square and the BU bridge.

What's there to say about bike lanes? They're lines of paint in the street.

And, they're beautiful!

    $67,000 for 2.2 miles of striping. If that's a solidly representative number, we've got a baseline estimate of about 30k per mile. Is that excessive? Was there a little "Boston tax" involved in that deal?
