From the boston.com White Coat Notes, friend of NS&S Anne Lusk has a study out that shows that women who bike regularly gain less weight than women who don't. (This study of one says that biking alone doesn't keep the pounds off, but maybe I'd have even more problems if I didn't.)
Anne makes the great point that commuting by bike is free exercise.
